In this episode we talked with an 86 year old woman named Jane who had a close encounter, along with her husband, with a UFO in the early 1980’s.
The sighting occurred in broad daylight in the Salt Flats in Eastern Utah. After the incident, Jane and her husband calculated the distance to the Nevada state line and determined it to be around 15 miles. Here is a screen grab from Google Earth looking NE 15 miles from the Nevada border:
Prior to the interview, Jane sat down with her grand daughter and had her sketch out the overall shape and look of the UFO they encountered that day. Here is the original sketch:
After the interview, we created at 3D model of what the craft might have looked like. Here is an isometric view of the model based on the sketch above:
In Jane’s description of the event, a strange craft approached them and then levitated 2 or 3 yards from their location. The craft was levitating 5-10 feet off of the ground while rotating slowly in the air. It made almost no sound other than something like a quiet fan. So what was this strange craft Jane and her husband experienced out on the flats? We may never know. But one thing is certain, Jane and her husband saw something strange that day and we are very grateful for Jane’s willingness to tell her story. THANK YOU JANE!
